Nafilah Qurbani
The United American Muslim Association (UAMA) allows your Qurbanies to be sacrificed in clean environments according to Islamic procedures, deliver them to your home according to your preference or offer them to Quran students at our branches.
You can also donate your Nafilah, Wajib, Aqeeqah, Shifa and Shukr Qurbanies, to our association. You may also feed the Quran students at our branches.
The United American Muslim Association delivers your slaughtered animal to the student’s of the Quran on your behalf. Amongst our students studying in North America, specifically to our orphans and refugees who are in financial difficulties, continue their educational life with the Qurbani of the generous people.
Our students, to whom we will deliver your Qurbani, learn about the Quranic sciences and graduate from the “IE Method” with a special curriculum follow-up.
The Wajib Qurbani Page will be active in the month of Ramadan.
It is ensured that our students are raised as outstanding individuals who are committed to their religious and moral values.
With the education our student’s receive, they can devote their lives to serving the book of Allah. Our students can continue their life as a model Muslim in society by choosing the profession they deem appropriate for themselves.
Helping the student of the Qur’an to get education is also Sadaqah Jariyah.
Qurbani; It is the slaughter of animals available for sacrifice with the intention of worshiping for the sake of Allah.
لَنْ يَنَالَ اللّٰهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَٓاؤُ۬هَا وَلٰكِنْ يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوٰى مِنْكُمْۜ كَذٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللّٰهَ عَلٰى مَا هَدٰيكُمْۜ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُحْسِن۪ينَ
Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.( Haj, verse 37)
The term “Qurbani” is derived from the Arabic word “to get closer” and is frequently performed as a worship that brings servants closer to Allah. Although Qurbanies are sacrificed in different occasions, they can basically be examined under 4 main headings.
Qurbani Protects Against Troubles
Wajib Qurbani
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْۜ So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]. (Al-Kawthar, verse 2)
According to the Hijri Calendar, the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th days of the Dhul Hijjah is Eid-ul Adha (The Feast of the Sacrifice). It is Wajib (Compulsory) for every Muslim who possess Nisab (minimum amount of wealth requiring them to pay Zakat) according to the Hanafi school of thought. The Qurbani that is sacrificed, is sacrificed for the person who slaughtered it, and it is hoped that with the first blood, all the sins of the owner of the Qurbani will be forgiven.
The animal to be sacrificed must be selected in accordance with Islamic rules. Since this subject requires expertise in animal knowledge, professional support must be obtained.
The animal should be taken to the place where it is to be slaughtered. The Islamic rules must be followed in the slaughtering process and the animal must be slaughtered by mentioning (Dhikr) the name of Allah without hurting the animal.
Qurbani meat should be divided into three parts; leaving the first part to the family as a nafaqah, consuming the second part at the feast with friends, and the last part as sadaqah to the poor.
One can distribute more than one piece or even the whole sacrifice to the poor.
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَا عَمِلَ آدَمِيٌّ مِنْ عَمَلٍ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ إِهْرَاقِ الدَّمِ إِنَّهَا لَتَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِقُرُونِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَا وَأَظْلَافِهَا وَأَنَّ الدَّمَ لَيَقَعُ مِنْ اللَّهِ بِمَكَانٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقَعَ مِنْ الْأَرْضِ فَطِيبُوا بِهَا نَفْسًاHumankind (son of Adam) did not do anything more pleasant than shedding blood in the sight of Allah on the day of sacrificing. That sacrifice will come with horns, hair and nails on the day of judgment. Before the blood of the sacrifice falls to the ground, it is immediately accepted by God. For this reason, do not be disturbed because of the sacrifice you have cut, and your heart should be pleasant. ” (Ibn Maja, Edahi: 3 – Hadith)
The Qurbani must be slaughtered by Qurbani’s owner or a reliable Muslim person who recieved the Wakalah (Permission) from the Qurban’s owner.
The owner of the Qurbani can only benefit from the meat of the sacrifice. The owner CANNOT sell the sacrificial animal’s skin or horn.
عظموا أضحياكم فَإِنَّهَا عَلَى الصِّرَاط مَطَايَاكُمْ
“Make sure that your sacrifices are big because they are your mounts on the as-sirāt (bridge)”

Why should I perform Qurbani, what is the benefit?
Performing Qurbani is a form of gratitude shown towards Allahu SWT for all the offerings and blessings. It is a form of a gracious worship that brings you closer to Allahu SWT. It is recommended to perform Qurbani to attain any desires. It is recommended in the Islamic following according to customs and religious values to perform this act. You may perform a Shukur Qurbani to show gratitude for something materialistic, a Sheefa Qurbani for someone who is ill, a Shukur Qurbani for a newborn child, an Aqiqah Qurbani to practice the Sunnah of the Prophet SAV, or a Nafilah Qurbani for many other things.
How long will it take for you to perform my Qurbani?
The Qurbani is performed within 2-3 days after it has reached our Organization and is completed according to Islamic customs and a video is provided to the owner.
May I make a Qurbani Donation at any given time?
Yes, you may make a Qurbani donation throughout the whole year. Our Organization is available 24/7 upon request.
Am I able to choose where the Qurbani I have donated is to be slaughtered?
The Qurbani’s are performed at one of our locations throughout the globe. However if you would like to have it performed in a specific location, please do not hesitate to contact us.
How does your Organization treat the animals that will be slaughtered?
The animal is slaughtered without any pain or torture to it. The animal is slaughtered by experts in this field and the slaughter process is hasty. Environmental cleanliness is also accounted for. It is also cautioned that the animals are not near the slaughter area where they can see or hear the other animals.
What is Aqiqah Qurbani?

What is a Shukur Qurbani?
It is a Qurbani with any and all intention to show gratitude to Allahu SWT. A person may arrange for a Shukur Qurbani after they have met a goal or a blessing they have been endowed upon.
What is an Adaq Qurbani?
An Adaq Qurbani is when a person promises to Allahu SWT to perform a Qurbani under a condition that they perform a certain act. Upon the completion of that act, it must be executed.
What is the Qurbani process?
- The Qurbani you have donated or arranged with our Organization is registered to our Qurbani system.
- An official from our Organization will reach out to gain your permission to perform this Qurbani via text message or a telephone call.
- Our Organization will reach out to the locations across the globe that are in need of Qurbani and will communicate your intentions and permission to them .
- Our qualified personnel or experts will then slaughter the animal according to Islamic customs in that location with Takbeer and Dua’s being read aloud.
- The whole act will be recorded for our donor and will be sent to them within 2-3 days.
- The Qurbani meats will be divided upon and offered to the needy, the students and other Muslims in that area.
