UAMA has served Muslim families in America since 1980. Hajj is organised through our travel arm, Hisar Tour, and booked on the Saudi government’s official Nusuk platform. This page explains the whole process — dates, costs, paperwork and timing — before you spend a dollar.
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, obligatory once in a lifetime for every Muslim who is physically and financially able. Since 2022, pilgrims from the United States and Canada book it exclusively through Nusuk Hajj, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s official platform. There is no other legitimate route, and no travel agency can sell you a Hajj package outside it.
What a travel operator does provide is everything around the booking: the group flight from North America, the imam and murshid who travel with you, the seminars beforehand, the ziyarat programme, the transport at the Mashair sites, and someone reachable when something goes wrong at three in the morning in Mina. Where UAMA fits in
Families often ask who is actually responsible for what. It is worth being precise, because Hajj involves three separate parties and confusing them is where problems start.
Practically, this means: you register and pay on Nusuk. You never pay UAMA or Hisar Tour for the Hajj package itself. What you get from us is the guidance, the group, the imam, the flights, and someone who picks up the phone at 2am in Mina.
Timing
Hajj 2027 is Hajj 1448 AH. Dhul-Hijjah is expected to begin around 7–8 May 2027, placing the ritual days in the middle of the month.

The registration window
At the time of writing, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had not announced an opening date for the 1448 season. Nobody outside the Ministry knows it. What we do have is the shape of the previous cycle, which has been a dependable guide.
One prior cycle is a pattern, not a schedule. Read these as a planning window.
The trap: verification and eWallet funding both take time, and both happen before packages become bookable. Families who start preparing when the booking window opens are still uploading documents while the packages they wanted disappear. Do the slow parts early.
The 2027 tiers
Hisar Tour publishes five tiers for 2027, mapped onto the Nusuk Luxury and Premium categories. Every tier is all-inclusive: visa, round-trip flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, the Mina and Mashair arrangements, ground transport, meals and guided religious support.

The fine print
Packages are all-inclusive, but “all-inclusive” is a phrase worth checking against a list. Here is what is inside, and what still needs its own line in your budget.

The two decisions that matter
This one choice drives more of your comfort and more of your price than anything else on the booking screen.
Mina
During the days of Tashreeq you stay in Mina and walk to the Jamarat Bridge each day. Nusuk packages use two camps, and the distance between them is the most underestimated variable in the whole booking.
The closest camp to the Jamarat Bridge, holding around 5,000 pilgrims with the highest level of service. The daily stoning becomes a short walk. Used in the Platinum packages, and available as an upgrade on others.
A large, well-equipped camp taking up to 44,000 pilgrims, with everything needed for the Mina days. Practical and comfortable, used across the Gold and Silver tiers. The trade-off is the daily walk.
Three days, two directions each day, in May heat, after Arafat and Muzdalifah. For a fit pilgrim in their thirties, four kilometres is manageable. For a parent in their seventies it decides whether the Mina days are bearable. Price the camp choice into the decision honestly.
The six days
If this is your first Hajj, this is the sequence. Your murshid leads the group through every step, but knowing the shape of it in advance removes most of the anxiety.
The group enters ihram with the intention for Hajj and travels to Mina, where roughly two million pilgrims are housed in tents. The day and night pass in prayer. Your murshid confirms headcounts, distributes water and briefs the group on the following morning.
From midday until sunset the group stands on the plain of Arafat. This standing is what makes the Hajj valid; nothing else can substitute for it, which is why every transport arrangement in the itinerary exists to protect it. After sunset the group moves to Muzdalifah, rests in the open and gathers pebbles.
The large Jamarah is stoned, the sacrifice completed, the head shaved or the hair trimmed, and ihram is left. Tawaf al-Ifadah and Sa’i follow in Makkah before the group returns to Mina for the night. It is the longest day of the journey.
Three days in Mina, stoning all three Jamarat each afternoon. Nothing else is scheduled, which surprises people. The demanding part is the repeated walk, and that is decided entirely by which camp your package placed you in.

Money and time
Hajj is one of the largest single expenses most families will make. Starting eighteen months out changes what is affordable.
Hisar Tour’s 2027 tiers start between $10,400 and $12,300 per pilgrim in a quad room, with the group flight already inside that number. A double room costs meaningfully more — decide early which matters more to you, the room or the hotel’s distance from the Haram.
Set aside a separate amount for what sits outside the package: Qurbani if you add it, gifts, extra meals, a wheelchair companion if you need one, and spending money. Ask us for the current list rather than assuming.
The rites fall in mid-May 2027, and a full package runs roughly eleven to fifteen nights. Add travel days and a buffer for a possible one-day moon-sighting shift, then request the leave. Do this before you book, not after.
Eligibility and paperwork
Two lists, and both are worth checking tonight rather than in six months.
Your Hajj visa is issued through Nusuk once the package is confirmed. There is no separate embassy application for pilgrims from the United States or Canada.
Support
Women of all ages travel on these departures, with or without a mahram, under current Saudi rules for organised groups.
Most pilgrims on these groups are going for the first time, and many are travelling with a parent.

Group flights are normally routed through a single connection to Jeddah or Madinah. Availability by tier is confirmed at booking.
For this community, that is normally New York (JFK) and Newark (EWR).
Tell the team your home city at pre-registration and they will plan the departure and any connecting travel with you, instead of leaving you to reverse-engineer the timings.

Who runs the journey
Three things are worth checking about any Hajj operator: whether they are recognised, whether the people who travelled with them say so, and whether they were there last season.
Pre-registration takes no payment and commits you to nothing. It puts you on the notification list for the moment Nusuk opens, lets the team match you to a package and a departure city, and gives you someone to ask before the rush rather than during it.

Questions
Hajj 2027 corresponds to 1448 AH. Dhul-Hijjah is expected to begin around 7–8 May 2027, which places the Day of Tarwiyah on Friday 14 May, the Day of Arafah on Saturday 15 May, Eid al-Adha on Sunday 16 May, and the days of Tashreeq from 17 to 19 May 2027. These are astronomical projections from the Umm al-Qura calendar. The Saudi moon-sighting committee confirms the actual dates closer to the season, and a one-day shift is normal.
It had not opened at the time this page was written. Looking at how the previous season ran gives a reasonable expectation: for Hajj 1447, Nusuk account registration opened on 7 October 2025 and the booking and payment window opened on 1 February 2026. On that pattern, account registration for 1448 would be expected somewhere between October and December 2026, with package booking around early 2027. Treat that as an estimate, not a promise. The Ministry announces the real dates through Nusuk itself, and we alert everyone who has pre-registered with us.
No. The Hajj package is paid for inside the Nusuk eWallet, on the Saudi government’s platform. UAMA and Hisar Tour provide guidance, the group flight arrangement, the imam and murshid, the seminars and the on-ground support. If anyone ever asks you to pay for a Hajj package outside Nusuk, or asks for your Nusuk password, stop and call us.
Hisar Tour is UAMA’s travel arm and works within the Seera Group family. It shares in Seera Mawasim’s 1st Place award for Excellent Service from the Ministry of Hajj, now in its fourth year of that partnership. It is not the Nusuk platform itself, and does not present itself as such — official registration, booking and payment all happen on hajj.nusuk.sa.

A passport valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates, a photograph that meets Nusuk’s specification (200×200 pixels, plain white background), and a Nusuk account you can log into. Get the passport checked now — renewals in spring 2027 will be crowded. Yes, but only if you set it up correctly. Add family members as companions on one main Nusuk profile rather than creating separate accounts for each person. Every companion has to complete verification before the group can access packages, so start early — one unverified passport holds up everyone.
Hisar Tour operates group departures from New York (JFK), Washington (IAD), Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX) and Toronto (YYZ). The Platinum tiers depart from JFK and IAD; Gold, Gold Shifting and Silver are available from all six. Group flights are usually routed through a single connection to Jeddah or Madinah.
That is the normal starting position, and it is the conversation worth having before Nusuk opens rather than during the rush. Makkah
In Makkah everything is priced by distance from Al-Masjid al-Haram. The zone letter on a Nusuk package tells you how far you will walk, five times a day, for up to two weeks.
The innermost ring: a walk of roughly five minutes or less, sometimes with the courtyards in view. The Gold and Silver tiers sit here. This is the zone worth paying for if you are travelling with elderly parents.
Further out, with shuttle transport at prayer times. Comfortable, cheaper, and entirely workable for pilgrims who are steady on their feet.
The most affordable accommodation, with the longest transfers. Fine for some pilgrims and difficult for others. Know which you are before you book.
