FIQH: SOME MASAIL ON SALAH
• A Musafir (traveller) is allowed to omit the Sunnah parts of the five daily Salah while travelling in case of danger. However, it is better to perform them if the Musafir is secure and settled at a place during his trip.
• After performing the Fard part of Asr Salah, performing Qada Salah until the disliked time is not Makruh.
• The responsibility of Salah falls from a person who is not even able to perform his Salah by gesturing with his head. He will not be held liable, nor will he be sinful for the prayers he has missed. It is not permissible for such a person to pay Fidyah for his missed Salah in his lifetime.
THE GROUP THAT GAINS THE MOST
One day Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) sent an expedition to Najd. The group came back with lots of spoils. A Sahabi who could not join the expedition remarked: “I have never seen an expedition returning with such a great amount of spoils in such a short time.” Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Shall I inform you about a group that earns more than them and even in a much shorter time: They are the people who sit making Dhikr (remember Allah) until sunrise after performing their Fajr Salah with congregation. That group of people are the ones who earn most in the shortest time (Tirmidhi).
In a Hadith al-Sharif it is stated: “No group of people sit to remember Allah but are surrounded by angels of divine mercy. ‘Sakinah’ (serenity, honour, and contentment) descends upon them. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta‘ala mentions about them to His angels (Sahih Muslim).
